about this Workshop

Municipalities and public agencies are under growing pressure to respond to complex challenges — from sustainability and resilience to inclusion, service pressure and rapid technological change. These are not problems that can be solved by one actor, one department or one sector alone.

This workshop explores how public and private actors can work together to turn complex societal challenges into shared innovation efforts with real momentum. Building on cases and insights from the conference, we will examine how to move from broad ambition to practical action: identifying the real challenge, understanding the barriers, and shaping concrete next steps that can be carried forward across sectors.

Through case-based inspiration, facilitated group work and structured methods for co-creation, participants will explore where collaboration often gets stuck — and what it takes to unlock stronger public innovation capacity, better market engagement and more actionable partnerships.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have identified concrete barriers, collaboration opportunities and actionable next steps for taking the work forward in their own context.
