about this Workshop

Urban testbeds and living labs are important arenas for developing new approaches to sustainable development. But moving from individual experiments to broader change remains a challenge. In this workshop, the EU project ULALABS presents insights from work in four European regions, showing how different types of experimentation spaces function and how learning can be shared across them.

We discuss with practitioners in the participating regions what helps municipalities and industry partners use experiments more strategically and how cross‑regional collaboration can support long‑term transformation. The session offers practical reflections for those working to strengthen innovation practices in cities.

Speakers:

Ulrika Johansson - Linköping Science Park: The city as testbed - Insights from Linköping Science Park.

Odd Vinje - Nordic Edge: Agile pilots and Co-creation Forum. Experiences from operative and strategic urban experimentation.
