This workshop will explore how place making and industry clusters might collaborate in creating vibrant and lasting communities, inspired by regenerative practices, and based on insight from previous work done by ÆRA on Site 4016. In dialogue with NEB-STAR partners from Prague and Utrecht we will also explore if learnings can be transferred to Europe.

An active industry cluster is one that exists not only for the industry it focuses serveson, but one that uses its local environment and ecosystem as a developing force. Modern industry clusters integrate perspectives from a wide range of stakeholders, using richness of meaning as an active competitive advantage, with honouring mutual interdependencies within the system. It is therefore entirely natural to think of industry cluster development and site development in combination, with as they have a shared shared interests in strengthening the local environment and creating opportunities for healthy sustainable growth.
