Louise K. Dedichen is one of Norway's most prominent military leaders, with the rank of Vice Admiral. She has an impressive career in defense and security policy behind her. Dedichen began her military journey at the Norwegian Naval Academy in 1983 and has since held a number of key positions, including service at KNM Trondheim and work in the Armed Forces Logistics Organization, the Defense Staff and the Ministry of Defense.

In 2008, she made history as the first female officer in Norway to achieve the rank of Rear Admiral, when she was appointed Head of the Norwegian Armed Forces College.

Dedichen has led the Norwegian Armed Forces College, where she was responsible for a comprehensive restructuring of military education in Norway. Her international experience, including education at the College Interarmès de Défense in Paris, has further strengthened her understanding of global security issues and her ability to communicate these to different audiences.

In January 2020, she took up her position as Norway's Military Representative to the NATO Military Committee in Brussels, a role that involves safeguarding Norway's interests in the alliance and being the Chief of Defence's representative on the Military Committee.

This position has given her deep insight into international security policy and NATO's strategic decision-making processes.
