During this session we will present and discuss some of the best demonstration projects within the field of Sustainable Urban Digital Solutions. We will look in to noise, waste, light and data sharing.
Through a mix of interactive presentations, we will answer the what, how and why of the Danish approach to sustainable urban solutions.
In Denmark municipalities work with innovation in close cooperation with private partners when urban solutions are developed. Here you will be presented with the front runner initiatives; DOLL, Silent Cities, Lighting Metropolis and the Regional Datahub.
DOLL (Danish Outdoor Living Lab) is Denmark’s large platform for developing future intelligent lighting and smart city solutions. It showcases smart city solutions across mobility and parking, IoT communication systems, environmental monitoring, waste management and much more. The Regional Datahub is an innovation project with twenty municipalities. They are together developing a way to work more actively with sharing data together with innovative companies. Silent Cities is another important initiative. Here you will be presented with a system of dynamic online maps on noise and noise annoyance. Lighting Metropolis is the first decisive step in realizing a vision for Greater Copenhagen as the world’s leading Living Lab for smart urban lighting. Here, you will hear about highly innovative lighting solutions and demonstration projects.
