Over the last few Nordic Edge has expanded internationally with events in Asia and the United States. The aim is to strengthen the Nordic Smart City brand, in a wider sense, and create new market possibilities across borders and regions.
This coming spring Nordic Edge is entering North America with a programme at the renown South by Soutwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas. We have joined forces with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) and Palo Alto based Nordic Innovation House to deliver a programme showcasing Nordic Smart City values, solutions and collaboration.
On Sunday 15 March Nordic Edge and collaborators are taking over the Scandinavian House in downtown Austin for a afternoon and evening of Smart City talks, networking and entertainment. The draft programme will include:
Nordic Edge USA is part of the official SXSW programme.
The session on Sunday 15 March is part of a larger programme. For the duration of 11 to 17 March we are offering a networking package for Nordic delegates. The dates correspond with SAS' direct flight from Copenhagen to Austin. The package includes access to the full SXSW programme, social events and company visits.
More information is coming soon. Please contact Project Manager for Nordic Edge USA, Trygve Meyer if you are interested in joining.
2019 saw the first edition of Nordic Edge Asia. The event attracted a great deal of interest. So much so that we are delighted to repeat the endeavour!
Nordic Edge Asia a two-way knowledge exchange between two distinct societies with ambitious Smart City strategies - China and the five Nordic countries. Politicians, public officials and corporate representatives from both sides will come together to deliberate over similarities and differences in the regions' Smart City models and initiate talks about future collaboration.
Nordic Edge Asia was scheduled to take place in the Chinese cities of Beijing and Yantai, 20-24 April 2020. However, due to the unfortunate situation with the coronavirus outbreak, the event has been postponed.
Because of the uncertainty of the situation we have, in agreement with our partners in both the Nordics and China, decided to schedule the event at a later time. At present a new date has not been set.
We will keep you posted of any updates. Except for the dates, Nordic Edge Asia's programme structure, themes and content shall remain the same.
Our primary concern in postponing the event is the health and well-being of all involved. We appreciate your patience and understanding under the current circumstances.
Please do not hesitate to contact Project Manager for Nordic Edge Asia, Michelle Snarberg if you have any questions: firstname.lastname@example.org
