Eurocities, Polis, Morgenstadt, the European Regions Research and Innovation Network (ERRIN), Triangulum and Horizon2020 Lighthouse City Projects are some of the new European partners at Nordic Edge Expo 2018.
Gate 21 (Denmark), 6AIKA (Finland), Smart City Sweden, Clean Cluster (Denmark), Resilient Regions Association (Sweden), City of Bergen, Nordic Innovation and The Nordic Council of Ministers are among the new Nordic co-organisers of Nordic Edge Expo 2018 which means that they will all contribute to the conference program with seminars, speakers, and workshops. We will also get to hear international city leaders share their thoughts about smart cities and societies when Eurocities host a Mayor debate on 25th September.
Nordic Edge Expo 2018 is a three-day conference and expo, running from 25th - 27th September, with opening keynote speakers such as Robert Strand (US), Lene Rachel Andersen (DK) and Kimmo Heinonen (Finland) on Tuesday 25th September.
Among the topics on the main stage during the first day, we will hear more about the following topics:
- Sustainable Vikings
- Recipes for Happy Citizens and Thriving Businesses
- How to use innovative public procurement to achieve your Smart City goals
- Young ideas make warmer cities - why it's smart to co-create with kids
- Smart with a heart - how to cope with our major societal challenges
As last year, delegates get to choose from a number of parallel sessions and workshops with different smart city topics such as security, smart buildings, health, mobility, democracy, artificial intelligence, art, resilient regions, circular economy and procurement as a strategic tool to achieve your smart city strategies.
Nordic Edge Expo also offers a full day EdTech conference on 27th September targeting educators, business developers, politicians, and managers.
The Nordic Council of Ministers will host a Nordic-China conference on 27th September, while the Triangulum and Horizon2020 Lighthouse City program will host seminars and workshops for knowledge sharing and collaborating. A full day energy conference will also be available on 27th September, hosted by the University of Stavanger, ISPIM, and the Smart Energy Network.
This year, delegates are invited to join a dinner & networking event at the conference centre on Tuesday 25th September, and an informal smart city pub event on 26th Wednesday, at the legendary Atlantic hotel in the heart of Stavanger.
